Part Time: 21.5 hours per week (59% FTE) and 23.5 hours per week (64%) Permanent
Two exciting opportunities have arisen for two Evening and Weekend Service Managers. You will work in the Customer Services Team, managing library services during evenings and weekends. You will be a key decision maker and point of contact for any issues that arise. We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual with excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to manage your own workload and support self-service operations during opening hours are essential. You will also be an experienced and proficient user of virtual platforms, library management systems and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work as part of a team and the ability to take responsibility are also required.

Post 1: 0.59fte
Fridays: 4.30pm – 9.00pm, Saturdays: 10.30am – 6.30pm & Sundays: 10.15am – 9.15pm
Post 2: 0.64fte
Sundays: 10.15am – 9.15pm, Mondays: 4.30pm – 9.00pm, Tuesdays: 4.30pm – 9.00pm & Wednesdays: 4.30pm – 9.00pm
The successful applicant will be educated to degree level or have relevant experience and up-to-date professional knowledge in the field of library service provision and customer service excellence. You will have proven experience building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and colleagues. Proven experience in motivating and training staff is an essential requirement for this post. You will also be required to co-ordinate and manage team workloads in coordination with other colleagues.
You will also take responsibility for pursuing a programme of self-development and continuing updating of skills, demonstrating an active interest and understanding of new technologies and policies required for the role and services.
